How do porta potty units compare side by side?
Porta potty units differ in 5 ways that matter: flushing, handwashing, footprint, water or power needs, and how many uses fit between services. A standard unit is rated around 200 uses between services, needs no hookups and fits a 4 x 4 foot spot. A 2-stall restroom trailer needs a 110V outlet and truck access.
| Unit | H x W x D | Empty weight | Waste tank | Hookups | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard single | ~92 x 44 x 47 in | ~190 lb | ~60 gal | None | Toilet, urinal, sanitizer; ~200 uses between services |
| Deluxe flushing w/ sink | ~92 x 44 x 48 in | ~230 lb | ~60 gal + ~20 gal fresh | None | Foot-pump flush and sink, mirror |
| Wheelchair-accessible | ~90 x 87 x 87 in | ~320 lb | ~60 gal | None | Ground-level floor, grab bars, 60-in turning space |

Questions about choosing a unit
These 6 questions are the ones callers ask most when they are choosing between unit types. If you are still unsure after reading them, call (713) 980-2688 and describe the job; we will recommend the cheapest setup that works.
What does "standard unit" mean?
A standard unit is the regular single porta potty: a toilet seat over a holding tank, a urinal, a vent, toilet paper and a hand sanitizer dispenser. No water, no power, no flush.
Is an event unit nicer than a construction unit?
Every unit is cleaned and inspected before delivery. For events we send our cleanest-looking units, and you can upgrade to a deluxe unit or a trailer for a nicer look.
Which is cheaper — a deluxe unit or a standard unit plus a wash station?
A standard unit plus a hand washing station is often close in price to one deluxe unit and serves more people. A deluxe unit's fresh-water tank runs out sooner at a busy event. Ask us to quote both.
Do you have the big ones with several stalls?
Yes. Our restroom trailers come in 2-stall and larger sizes with flushing toilets, sinks and lights. They need a standard outlet and room for the truck.
Do I need a handicap porta potty?
For public events, the 2010 ADA Standards call for at least 5% of units in each cluster to be accessible. For a private party, add one if any guest uses a wheelchair or walker.
Can I get a lock on it?
Yes. Every unit locks from inside, and we can add a lock hasp so you can padlock it on public or overnight sites.
