Which wedding restroom option is right for us?
Wedding couples choose between 3 levels: a restroom trailer, a deluxe flushing unit with a sink, or a standard porta potty. Trailers feel like a real bathroom, with lights, A/C and flushing toilets, while deluxe units add a sink and mirror at a lower cost. Standard units suit casual backyard receptions and staff areas.
| Feature | Restroom trailer (2-stall) | Deluxe flushing unit | Standard unit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toilet | Real flushing toilets | Foot-pump flush | Holding tank, no flush |
| Sink | Yes, with running water | Yes, foot-pump sink | Sanitizer dispenser |
| Mirror and lights | Yes, lit vanity | Mirror | No |
| Air conditioning | Yes | No (vented) | No (vented) |
| Power needed | Standard 110V outlet | None | None |
| Water hookup | Sometimes | No (~20 gal fresh tank) | No |
| Footprint | ~10 x 7 ft plus tongue | ~44 x 48 in | ~44 x 47 in |
| Best for | Formal receptions, older guests, summer heat | Barn and garden weddings on a budget | Casual parties, vendor and staff use |

How many restrooms does a wedding need?
A wedding needs about 1 standard unit per 50 guests for every 4 hours, plus 1 more unit for every 4 when a bar is open. Most receptions run 5 to 6 hours with drinks, so a 150-guest wedding needs about 5 units. Long receptions and open bars push the count up fastest.
| Guests | Base units (6 hrs) | Add for alcohol | Total | Hand wash (if not using sinks) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | 3 | +1 | 4 | 1 |
| 150 | 4 | +1 | 5 | 2 |
| 200 | 5 | +2 | 7 | 2 |
| 300 | 8 | +2 | 10 | 3 |
Trailers and deluxe units have sinks, so you can skip separate hand wash stations with them. Tell us your guest count and hours, and we will turn the count into the right mix of trailer stalls and units. Our sizing guide explains the math.
Where should the restrooms go at a wedding venue?
Wedding restrooms belong near the reception, not the ceremony. Place them about 50 to 100 feet from the dance floor and out of the line of sight for photos and vows. Units still need firm, level ground within about 15 feet of truck access, and trailers need a 110V outlet within reach.
- Keep restrooms behind the ceremony seating, never beside the arch
- Light the path with string lights or lanterns for evening guests
- Face doors away from the dining tables
- Leave a level pad for a trailer, plus room for the tongue
- Check with your photographer about the backdrop views
Our placement guide shows gate widths, slopes and truck access rules.
Can you deliver on rehearsal day?
Rehearsal-day delivery, 1 day before the wedding, is our standard plan. For a Saturday wedding, we set up Friday and come back Monday, and the extra days are on us. The units are in place and stocked before the rehearsal, so your planner can check them, and nobody waits on a truck the morning of the wedding.
We do not deliver or pick up on Sunday. A Sunday wedding still gets a Friday or Saturday drop and a Monday pickup.
- Lock the date early. Trailers book up first in spring and fall.
- Walk the site. Pick a level spot and confirm the outlet.
- We set up the day before. The driver calls about 30 minutes ahead.
- We pick up Monday. No cleanup needed from you or the venue.

Can we have a restroom attendant?
A restroom attendant can be requested for larger receptions, usually 150 guests or more, depending on the date. An attendant checks paper and soap, wipes counters and keeps lines moving during the busiest 2 hours. Ask when you book so we can confirm availability and add it as a line on your quote.
Smaller weddings rarely need one. Ask a member of your venue staff or wedding party to check the restrooms once or twice during the reception.
Which wedding restroom setup fits my venue?
Couples usually look at 4 pages before they book wedding restrooms. These 4 cover the restroom trailer itself with its sinks and A/C, VIP and luxury units, wheelchair-accessible units for older guests, and general party rentals for bridal showers, engagement parties and rehearsal dinners.

Wedding restroom questions
Brides, grooms, parents and planners ask us these 9 wedding questions most. The answers cover trailer cost, power, guest counts, timing and what happens if the reception runs late. Call (713) 980-2688 with your date and guest count for a quote.
How much is a bathroom trailer for a wedding?
Plan on about $1,500 per weekend for a 2-stall wedding trailer; 3- and 4-stall trailers cost more. Wedding quotes add tax to these figures and note the 110V outlet the trailer needs.
Is "the one with a sink" nice enough for a wedding?
For many barn and garden weddings, yes. The deluxe flushing unit has a sink, mirror and foot-pump flush, and starts at about $349–$475 per event before tax.
Our venue is a barn with no outlets. Can we still get a trailer?
A trailer needs a standard 110V outlet. Without one, you can run power from a generator your venue or rental company provides, or choose deluxe units, which need no power.
We have 180 guests and an open bar for 6 hours. How many?
Plan on about 7 standard-unit equivalents: 5 base units for 200 guests over 6 hours, plus 2 for alcohol. We can match that with a trailer and units.
Can grandma get into the trailer with her walker?
Trailers have steps, which can be hard with a walker. Add a wheelchair-accessible (ADA-style) unit with a ground-level floor for guests who need it.
Can you deliver Thursday so the planner can decorate?
Yes. An extra day may be added to the quote, but early delivery gives decorators time to add flowers or signs.
What if the reception goes until midnight?
That is fine. Units stay through the weekend, and we pick up Monday, so late nights never rush you.
How far ahead should we book for an October wedding?
Book trailers 2–3 months ahead for spring and fall dates. Standard and deluxe units can often be booked a few weeks out.
Do we pay up front or after the wedding?
Wedding rentals are paid at booking by card or debit. If the date moves, cancel more than 24 hours before delivery and you get it all back.
