How does the 28-day billing cycle work?
Long-term rentals bill every 28 days, not by calendar month. The first cycle covers the unit, 4 weekly service visits and a one-time delivery and pickup charge, while every cycle after that covers only the unit and its weekly service. The rental renews on its own until you call for pickup.
The table below follows one standard unit through its first three cycles. Your quote fills in the dollar amounts.
| Line item | Cycle 1 (days 1–28) | Cycle 2 (days 29–56) | Cycle 3+ (days 57 on) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unit rental for 28 days | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Weekly service (4 visits) | Included | Included | Included |
| One-time delivery and pickup charge | Yes, once | No | No |
| Extra service visits (if added) | Per visit | Per visit | Per visit |
| Sales tax (8.25% where it applies) | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Result | Highest bill | Lower, steady bill | Same as cycle 2 |
A year holds 13 cycles of 28 days, not 12 months. Budget for 13 bills when you plan a full-year site. Starting estimates are on the porta potty rental cost guide.

How do I stop billing on a long-term rental?
Long-term billing stops the day you call to request pickup. You do not need to wait for the truck, which usually arrives within 1 to 2 business days of your call. There is no contract term to finish and no early-end fee on our standard 28-day plan.
- Call or email. Reach us Monday–Saturday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m., at (713) 980-2688 or info@pasadenaportapottyrentals.com.
- Billing stops that day. Your final bill runs through the day of your request.
- We pick up. Usually within 1–2 business days; leave the unit where it is.
Example: a church calls on day 40 of a rental. Billing stops on day 40, partway through cycle 2, even if the truck comes on day 42. Full terms are on our rental terms page.
What happens on each weekly service visit?
Weekly service on a long-term rental happens on the same day each week, Monday through Saturday. The driver pumps the tank, cleans and sanitizes the seat, walls and floor, restocks toilet paper and sanitizer, and adds fresh deodorizing chemical. A standard unit is rated for about 200 uses between services.
Busy sites can add a second visit each week. Parks with weekend crowds often set service for Friday or Saturday so units are fresh for the busiest days.
- Same service day every week
- Add 2x/week service for heavy use
- Report damage or vandalism to us right away
- Keep the truck path clear within about 15 feet of the unit
What kinds of sites rent porta potties long term?
Long-term renters include farms, ranches, churches, parks, sports fields, warehouses, car lots, community gardens and businesses with broken plumbing. Construction crews rent long term too. Any site where people work or gather for more than 2 weeks usually saves money on a 28-day cycle compared with repeated short rentals.
- Farms and ranches
- Churches
- City and HOA parks
- Sports fields
- Warehouses and yards
- Car lots
- Community gardens
- Food trucks
Farm crews follow OSHA 29 CFR 1928.110: 1 toilet and 1 handwashing facility per 20 workers, within a quarter-mile walk (see the OSHA 1928.110 field sanitation rule). Pair units with a hand washing station.

How do I keep a long-term unit safe on a public site?
Long-term units on public or open sites should get a lock hasp, a stake or strap kit and a spot within 1 clear view of the street or a building. On a long rental, loss, fire, vandalism or tipping beyond normal wear is the renter's cost. Placing a unit near lighting cuts down on overnight problems.
- Ask for a lock hasp for parks and after-hours sites
- Stake units in open fields, especially during storm season
- Place units on firm, level ground that does not flood
From June 1 to November 30, plan for storms. Our seasonal rentals page covers storm prep and summer servicing.
Can businesses get invoiced instead of paying by card?
Approved commercial accounts can get invoicing on long-term rentals. Other renters pay each 28-day cycle by Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express or debit. Tax-exempt groups such as churches, schools and some nonprofits send a certificate, and we remove the 8.25% Texas sales tax from their bills.
Ask about invoicing when you request your quote. Keep your card or account details current so the rental keeps renewing without a gap.
Which units work best for long-term sites?
Long-term renters often compare 3 related pages before they book. These cover construction job sites with OSHA crew counts, short rentals under 2 weeks and seasonal needs like youth sports, plus 1 guide on placement for sites that will stay put for months.

Long-term rental questions
Long-term renters ask us these 9 questions most. The answers cover monthly cost, why bills come every 28 days, stopping service, tax exemption, moving units and adding visits. Call (713) 980-2688 if your farm, church, park or business has a schedule we did not cover.
How much is a porta potty by the month?
A standard unit starts at about $199 per 28-day cycle with weekly service. We bill every 28 days rather than by calendar month, and only the first cycle carries the one-time trip charge of about $49–$99. Both numbers are before tax.
Why did I get billed twice in one month?
Our cycles are 28 days, not calendar months. About once a year, two cycles start in the same month.
Do I have to sign a 6-month or 1-year contract?
No. The rental renews every 28 days until you call for pickup.
If I call to end it mid-cycle, do I pay the whole cycle?
Billing stops the day you request pickup. Your final bill runs through that day.
Can you clean it twice a week for our park on weekends?
Yes. Add a second weekly visit, and we can set it for Friday or Saturday before your busy days.
Can you move it to another spot on our property?
Yes. Tell us before your service day and the driver can move it then. A separate trip may carry a trip fee.
Our church is tax-exempt. How do we set that up?
Email your exemption certificate to info@pasadenaportapottyrentals.com, and we remove sales tax from your bills.
What day of the week will you come clean it?
Each site gets a set day, Monday through Saturday. We pick a day that fits your schedule when you book.
Can I switch to a nicer unit partway through?
Yes. We can swap units on a service visit, and we confirm the new rate with you first.
Prices shown are starting estimates before Texas sales tax. Your itemized quote is the final price.
